PCET’S Pimpri Chinchwad college of Arts, Commerce and Science (PCACS), Ravet, Pune had organized a cultural day celebration from 14-02-2024 to 16-02-2024, in the campus. On the very first day celebration began with the Retro/Mismatch/Red and Black colored theme. Included the Ramp walks by the students, and some indoor games.
Students’ participation in the competitions like Rangoli, Carom and Chess made the event more interesting.

The project was led by Prof. Ishtpreet Kaur for the students to understand themarketing strategies in practice. This visit was held on 02-02-2024. All the studentshave participated actively in the assignment project activity with other faculty Prof.Supriya Kulkarni.

Objectives: Students will enhance their skills and knowledge on: Working of a bank, opening a bank account, different types of accounts, Basic knowledge of cheques, locker services. Loans and Advances etc.
The objective of this activity was to create awareness and educate students on access to financial services (banking), availability of various types of services and their features and to make students understand their rights and responsibilities as customers of financial services.
Introduction: Branch Manager Ms Pushpanjali and Ms Monika gave a warm welcome. The session was conducted by Ms Pushpanjali who gave a brief introduction on banking and she explained the visit to a bank is always informative.
Ms Pushpanjali made sure students have understood what is banking and how it is useful to individuals and businesses. There are cabins provided for the managers and general manager of the bank. There are seats put up for the people who visit the bank for work. These departments have been provided with specific counters or windows where the customers have to stand in queue and wait for their turn.
Functioning of the Different Departments
The working of the bank is divided into many different departments which collectively handle the affairs of the bank.
1. Account Opening: - This is the department which is the busiest of all sections. To open an account in a bank they should fill the form which needed to be filled up along with the signature of a confidant and one’s identity proof or KYC ( know your customer) documents.
2. Cheques Counter: - This section remained fairly less crowded. At this section, there are demand drafts and cheques activity performed. For cheque deposit, a slip has to be filled and stamping part is done by the banker for customer’s safety. A slip was shown and Ms Monika explained students how to fill it.
3. Withdrawal Counter :- The withdrawal counter is where people come to encash cheques and withdraw money from their accounts. The person sitting in this counter usually has a drawer or a suitcase filled with case so that he can hand it over to the person who has rightfully claimed it.
4. Lockers :- Ms Rasika told the students about locker room where the assets and other valuables of the people are kept in safe boxes. She has also imparted the knowledge about loans and advances.
Conclusion: Visit to the bank was a great experience for the students to learn many new and different things about the functioning of the banks. Thanks to Principal Dr Roopali Kudare Madam for giving this opportunity .The experience was quiet eye opening as students have gained the knowledge about various processes and procedures that take place in the bank. Students were able to interact with the staff and understand the intricacies of the bank.

The guest speaker was Prof. Sujata Seelam of Accounts of S.B.Patil Science and Commerce College faulty. Guided the students on the different kinds of taxes and its structure. All staff members and the students took the advantage of this session in its full.

Industrial visits are an integral part of Management Education and it is this experience that helps students to gain first-hand information regarding the functioning of various industries. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods.
Moreover, it gives exposure from an academic point of view.The Industrial visit was well designed and coordinated Students by Asst. Prof Ishtpreet kaur, Asst. Prof .Pravin Babar and Asst. Prof. Supriya Kulkarni. Students are benefited to learn about “real life” examples of business and engineering management.
𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐢 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞, Head HR described the functions, benefits of the product and its presence worldwide. Madam addressed the HR practices and humbly answered the various questions asked by students. Students have also taken to our newly started 𝐏𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐂𝐔) and witnessed the lush green landscape. The Campus is full of greenery, a calm and quiet place.
